creative directors' bios

meet the two rescue pups behind every cozy bluesky creative design. between them, they're a mix of more than 10 breeds, and all of their goofy, loving, slightly crazy personality goes into our hoodies, tees, mugs and gifts for dog lovers.

blue, our first creative director, was 18% american staffordshire terrier, 15% labrador retriever, 14% chow chow, plus 17 more breeds, and 100% good dog. if he wore clothes, it would be business casual. he was gentle, smart and always one step ahead, with the occasional side-eye to keep things honest. blue passed away before turning 4, but his calm, loving spirit still guides what we make.

sky, the little brother and our current creative director, is 34% pomeranian, 29% chihuahua, 21% yorkshire terrier and 10% poodle, plus a few more breeds. he'd wear a leather jacket. he's full of energy, goofy enough to make you laugh out loud, and very particular, whether it's about who gets close or which food comes first. once he knows you, he's all kisses. many of our bluesky originals designs started with one of his moods.
